Four percussive dance companies share an afternoon of kid-friendly hijinks: Darrah Carr Dance, which blends Irish step and contemporary styles; Germaine Salsberg's Les Femmes, six female tappers who also sing and talk, offering the Alice in Wonderland–inspired Tea Party to music by Django Reinhardt and a jazz piece to music by Benny Green; the very tall and inventive dancer Ryan P. Casey and his troupe in excerpts from Unbound, which references fiction and poetry, as well as a tap version of Goodnight Moon; and the Bang Group, David Parker and Jeffrey Kazin's 21-year-old, rhythm-driven troupe that fuses tap and contemporary styles and is often very funny. TBG presents Turing Tests, a piece for three dancers and a violinist, and Running With Scissors, a rigorous quartet to Igor Stravinsky's Piano Rag Music.
