PERFORMANCE Times: 7:30 and 8PM
In response to Abdelkader Benchamma's Representation of Dark Matter, violinist Pauline Kim Harris will give a pop-up performance of J. S. Bach's monumental Chaconne, breathing music into the "astronomical vortex" of the large-scale drawing in The Drawing Center's stairwell as a closing ceremony for the year-long installation. The happening will be recorded by Holly Sass and filmed by Matilda Sakamoto.
Audience is asked to attend wearing black and white attire, and will be invited to gather in the Stairwell for the back-to-back, ten-minute performances.
